Barry Bonds’ Trial: Professor Michael McCann Available to Comment

March 21, 2011

SOUTH ROYALTON, VT -- As Barry Bonds' perjury trial gets underway today, Vermont Law School Professor Michael McCann is available to comment about what's at stake for the home run king, baseball itself and steroid use among professional athletes.

Nearly four years after his initial indictment, Bonds will be tried on charges in U.S. District Court in San Francisco that he lied to a federal grand jury in 2003 when he testified that he had never knowingly used steroids.

McCann, a nationally recognized sports law expert and the director of VLS's Sports Law Institute, can be reached on his cell phone 617.875.6132, office phone 802.831.1207 and email mmccann@vermontlaw.edu
