The conference will bring together national experts to address the major legal and policy issues related to agriculture and food systems. It will feature speakers with diverse specialties and points of view on food and public health, sustainable animal agriculture, public regulation of genetically modified organisms, agriculture and water quality, localizing food and the future of agriculture production nationally and in Vermont.

The conference also will highlight VLS's Center for Agriculture and Food Systems, which was established last year to train the next generation of legal advocates to help communities and organizations address the complexities posed by local, sustainable, community-based agriculture.
