Tuesday’s Hot Topics Talk: Is the Kyoto Protocol Dead?

SOUTH ROYALTON, VT -- Professor Dan Bodansky of Arizona State University's Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law will discuss the status of the Kyoto Protocol at noon, Tuesday, June 21, in Oakes Hall, room 007.

Image of smoking chimneyThe Kyoto Protocol is an international agreement linked to the U.N. Framework Convention on Climate Change, according to the United Nations. The major feature of the Kyoto Protocol is that it sets binding targets for 37 industrialized countries and the European community for reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.

Bodansky's talk is part of the Vermont Law School Environmental Law Center's Hot Topics in Environmental Law Summer Brown Bag Lecture Series. Each lecture is worth one VBA CLE credit. Lectures are free and open to the public.
