Vermont Law Experts Available to Discuss Obama’s Funding Request For Small Nuclear Reactors, Nuclear Loan Guarantees

SOUTH ROYALTON, VT -- Vermont Law School professors Mark Cooper and Peter Bradford are available to provide analysis of the costs, reliability and other factors in the Obama administration's 2012 budget proposal request for money to help develop small modular nuclear reactors and for additional loan guarantee support for new nuclear power plants.

President Obama's budget includes $853 million for the Department of Energy to support nuclear energy, including research and develop¬ment of a variety of nuclear technologies, such as small modular reactors, and $36 billion in loan guarantee authority for new nuclear power fa¬cilities.
