  • The Environmental and Natural Resources Law Clinic is working with the Conservation Law Foundation on a petition to the federal government to take back the authority to administer the Clean Water Act for the State of Vermont. Professor David Mears is quoted in this story in the April 27 Times Argus.
  • News of VLS ranked #1 in environmental law again is noted in several sources, including Vermont Business Magazine, the Rutland Herald, Times Argus, Burlington Free Press, The Boston Globe, WPTZ-TV 5 News, Fox 44 News, and WCAX-TV 3 News.
  • Adjunct Professor Peter Bradford, who teaches Nuclear Power and Public Policy during the Summer Session, is quoted in this April 24 Toledo Blade article discussing the possible effects of the economy on the nuclear power industry. This article was written by Tom Henry, who was a Vermont Law School Media Fellow in 2006.

  • Did you know that Professor Don Kreis, associate director of the Institute for Energy and the Environment, is also an expert on architecture? He offered this April 23 commentary on the latest Pritzker Prize (an architectural award described as "sort of the Pulitzer or Nobel Prize of its field") for New Hampshire Public Radio.

  • Professor Cheryl Hanna's April 22 column for Seven Days discusses the legal precedents of the 1967 Supreme Court Case, Loving v. Virginia, in connection with the recent same-sex marriage bill passed by the Vermont legislature.

  • Professor Don Kreis wrote--for the Concord Monitor--a response to Chelsea Conaboy's article about the work and mission of the Public Utilities Commission ("What's the role of the PUC?" Sunday Concord Monitor, April 12). Professor Kreis's response includes some reactions to the article from students in his energy regulation class.
