Biography

Benoit Le Bars represents clients in international arbitration, mediation, and alternative dispute resolution proceedings. He has appeared as counsel before a variety of arbitral forums and advises on contracts disputes, proceedings, and international projects. He specializes in corporate law, international trade law, international contracts, and OHADA (Organization for the Harmonization of Business Law in Africa) law. He has also served as elected co-arbitrator, sole arbitrator, or chairman in a number of international arbitrations. He is an adjunct professor at Vermont Law School, where he specializes in French and European corporate law. He also lectures postgraduates in business law and arbitration law at the University of Cergy-Pontoise near Paris. He began his career as a sole practitioner before acting as of counsel in various firms, including Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP. He served as director of the arbitration team at Landwell & Associates and was a partner at Hammonds LLP in Paris.
