In February 2013, Laura appeared in Vermont's Seven Days regarding the constitutionality of labeling legislation for genetically engineered foods in Vermont.
In February 2012, Laura appeared in the Brattleboro Reformer and on masslive.com regarding the release of two expert reports in the Vermont Yankee thermal discharge matter. The reports explained that Vermont Yankee's justifications for its hot water discharges into the Connecticut River are invalid.
Laura Murphy was quoted in the Brattleboro Reformer in March 2011 regarding the Vermont Yankee nuclear plant's Clean Water Act permit. She spoke about the need for stringent limitations that would protect fish populations in the Connecticut River.
