Martina F. S. Hofmann has more than 10 years of legal experience representing foreign and domestic governments, private sector clients, and nongovernmental organizations in international business and financial transactions, including sovereign debt restructuring, project finance, bond and equity offerings, and debt conversions to finance environmental and development projects. She was admitted to practice law in New York State and the District of Columbia.  She is fluent in German and French and proficient in Spanish. She is a Swiss citizen and permanent resident of the United States. She was of counsel at Morrison & Forester in Washington, D.C., from 1996-2001; senior vice president and director of legal affairs at the Debt for Development Coalition, Inc., in Washington, D.C., from 1992-1996; an associate at Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton in New York City from 1989-1992; and a financial analyst/corporate account representative at Swiss Bank Corp., in New York City from 1984-1986.
