Vermont Law School core systems run on Microsoft technology, including Exchange/Outlook for email. We recommend that incoming students give serious consideration to bringing a laptop capable of running Windows 10/11 and Office 365 to ensure the highest level of compatibility. If you are a current Apple owner, your computer OS should be one of the three most recent operating systems. Chromebooks and other tablets such as iPads are not supported by software required to take exams and are not recommended.

Here are some basic specifications for a recommended laptop:

• Processor should be at least Intel Core i5 or newer
• At least 16GB of RAM
• Minimum storage should be 512GB
• FHD resolution is recommended
• Warranty of at least 1 year
