Biography

Cynthia Lewis was named Vice Dean for Faculty in April 2019.  Prior to that she served as Library Director of the Julien and Virginia Cornell Library.  Vice Dean Lewis has more than 20 years of experience teaching Legal Research and other advanced legal research courses.  In addition, she teaches Legislation and Regulation and Legal Writing I.  Prior to coming to Vermont Law School in 2007, she served as the Acting Director at the Hugh and Hazel Darling Law Library at the UCLA School of Law, the Reference and Computer Research Librarian at the Franklin Pierce Law Center, and as the Law Librarian at Rackemann, Sawyer & Brewster in Boston. She received a BA from Wellesley College, a Masters in Library and Information Science from Simmons College in Boston, and a JD from Franklin Pierce Law Center (now the University of New Hampshire School of Law).
