“First They Came for the Judges” The Story of the Women Judges of Afghanistan

This event will provide an opportunity to learn about the plight of women judges from Afghanistan over the past several years. The panel discussion will include a first-hand account of a judge’s courageous journey from Afghanistan, as well as information on current efforts to resettle Afghan women and other citizens in the state of Vermont.

This event is presented by Vermont Law and Graduate School and these student groups: Women’s Law Society, International and Comparative Law Society, Justice Advocacy Initiative, and the Muslim Law Students Society.
