Participants at the 2022 Colloquium on Environmental Scholarship
Vermont Law and Graduate School hosted the 13th Annual Colloquium on Environmental Scholarship, September 23–24. This event offered environmental law scholars the opportunity to present their works-in-progress and get feedback from their colleagues. Finished papers may be considered for publication in the Vermont Journal of Environmental Law.
This year, there were nine panels with four to six presenters each. Because audience members and fellow panelists had advance copies of the papers, presenters gave a brief synopsis of their papers followed by a question-and-answer period and feedback from the audience.
Colloquium attendees had the opportunity to meet and exchange ideas with those who are teaching and researching in similar fields, such as environmental justice, animal law, and natural resources law. Participants also took a scenic hike in the Vermont mountains and enjoyed the fall foliage.
The Colloquium was held in person for the first time since 2019. “It’s a pleasure to welcome back longtime attendees as well as newcomers to one of our best-attended Colloquiums to date,” said the Vermont Law and Graduate School Environmental Law Center’s Assistant Director, Courtney Collins.
