Professional Certificate in Restorative Justice

VLS offers a non-degree Professional Certificate in Restorative Justice. This program is a unique 9-credit program for graduate students, restorative justice leaders, state and non-profit managers, and other professionals who wish to develop a career focusing on restorative justice or gain skills in restorative practices. 

While non-degree students are ineligible for federal loans to help cover the cost of this certificate, Vermont Law School has partnered with the Vermont Student Assistance Corporation (VSAC) to offer a low-interest, fixed-rate loan to cover expenses related to the Restorative Justice Certificate program. To be eligible the VSAC Choice Loan™ a student must:

  • Be registered in one or more of the Restorative Justice courses as a non-degree, certificate seeking student
  • Be a U.S. citizen or an eligible non-citizen
  • Not be in default on an education loan
  • Obtain a credit-worthy cosigner
