Claire Child

Biography

Claire Child is the Assistant Director and a Research Fellow with the Center for Agriculture and Food Systems (CAFS) at Vermont Law School. She is a southerner at heart and holds a BA in Environmental Science from the University of Virginia. A 2016 graduate of Vermont Law School with a Master's of Environmental Law and Policy and a Food and Agriculture Law Certificate, Claire participated with CAFS while a student as a Research Assistant and as a student clinician in the Food and Agriculture Clinic. Claire’s work with CAFS includes grant management and other administration, student and staff support, technical support to projects and the clinic, and research especially on topics around food access and regulation. She is fascinated by the diverse and multifaceted nature of the food system, and is especially interested in how cultural values affect food access.
