Christine Ryan

Biography

As an Associate Professor of Law and the Environmental Law Librarian at Vermont Law School, Christine Ryan teaches 1L Legal Research and Advanced Environmental Legal Research, as well as individualized environmental law research sessions and workshops.

She has created and continues to expand the VLS Environmental Law Research Sources database, which links to selected Internet resources that support the practice of environmental law. She has also created a number of in-depth Research Guides covering Environmental Law, Energy Law, Federal Legislative History, and Archived Information deleted from Federal Government Web Sites. She selects and manages the environmental law collection of electronic resources and books for the VLS Library and provides information services to the VLS community. She serves as research consultant to the Vermont Journal of Environmental Law.

Prior to her 20 years at VLS, Professor Ryan was a librarian at Dartmouth College and at Yale University, where she also taught research classes.
