Healing After Environmental Disasters
February 27 @ 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm EST
Environmental disasters, such as hurricanes, winter storms, and wildfires, can cause devastating effects to communities. Through the use of restorative practices, how can we help communities heal after an environmental disaster? Is there a role for restorative practices in planning for environmental resiliency?
This virtual session will explore how communities that have experienced environmental devastation can use restorative practices to recover, rebuild, and heal.
Hosted by the Center for Justice Reform at Vermont Law and Graduate School, this event is part of an online series, “Healing Communities to Heal the World.” Esteemed guest speakers Rebecca Jim and Brunilda Pali will join us in this dialogue.
