Social Construction and Implicit Bias: A Discussion of Land Use and the Economics of Crime

Zoning and development codes have enabled and exacerbated racial inequity in wealth distribution; while economic assumptions can reinforce prevailing dominant norms. This discussion will highlight embedded racism in land-use law and the application of economics to crime policy.
