Veteran’s Day Ceremony

The Veteran Student Law Association (VSLA) would like to invite you to attend the Veteran’s Day Ceremony on November 9, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the flagpole outside Waterman Hall. We will lower the old flag and raise the new one. Then, in Yates Common Room, there will be a brief presentation by VLS graduate, Rusty Sachs, JD’78, a Marine Corps helicopter pilot in Vietnam, and, following discharge, an active member of Vietnam Veterans Against the War (featured in documentary, “Winter Soldier”). We will have an open microphone at the end of the presentation for any respectful comments or short stories.
Please send photos of yourself or of loved veterans in uniform for a slideshow that will play during the event. Include a 75 word or less description of who the person is to you, where they are in the photo, and how they influenced your life. Send photos to harrisondrapo@vermontlaw.edu.
This is a special day as November 11th marks the 100th anniversary of the first Veterans Day (then known as Armistice Day or the end to World War I).
