Biography

Austin Price manages strategic communications at the Center for Agriculture and Food Systems at Vermont Law and Graduate School by working closely with staff, faculty, and students to build the CAFS resource library and disseminate their legal and scholarly research. He has a background in journalism, covering environmental policy and advocacy, wildlife, fisheries, and agriculture as a writer and photographer for publications like Bay Nature, Sierra, Yale Environment 360, and Earth Island Journal, where he worked as a contributing editor. Prior to joining CAFS, Austin was the Communications Coordinator for the Berkeley Food Institute, a food and agriculture research and policy center at the University of California, Berkeley. Before that, he spent a year living and farming in Canada’s Northwest Territories. Austin holds an MA in journalism from the University of Texas at Austin and a BA in history from Emory University.
