Biography

Jill Pfenning is VP, Regulatory Affairs and General Counsel at Vermont Gas Systems, Inc. (“VGS”). Jill has been in-house counsel to innovative companies in highly regulated industries for many years. Prior to VGS, Jill was senior compliance counsel at a California technology company in the cannabis industry, and before that, Jill was in-house counsel to startup companies in energy and educational technology. Jill was formerly a litigation associate at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP and clerked on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. Jill earned her BA from Wesleyan University and lives in South Burlington with her husband.
