IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) is available from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, Feb. 13-April 10, at Vermont Law School. The program provides free tax return preparation and electronic filing help to qualified Vermonters. Walk-ins are welcome.

The VITA program’s IRS-certified volunteers offer help to taxpayers “who generally make $55,000 or less, persons with disabilities, and limited English-speaking taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns.”

An operation of Capstone Community Services, the VITA center at VLS is located on the first floor of Waterman Hall. Campus signs are posted to direct visitors to the center and parking. The center will be closed March 4 and 6 for spring break.

For more information about the VITA center at VLS, call 802-831-1363, or email student coordinators Gaines Harrell at GainesHarrell@vermontlaw.edu or Savannah Rose at SavannahRose@vermontlaw.edu.
