On September 26, Vermont Law School’s Environmental Law Center hosted the 11th Annual Colloquium on Environmental Scholarship. The annual event brings together environmental law scholars from around the world to gather and present their works-in-progress, receive feedback from their colleagues, and meet and interact with colleagues in environmental law and related specialty areas.
Thirty-two panelists and more than 50 attendees participated in the colloquium, which was held virtually this year.
“I am so impressed with the distinguished scholars who joined the 2020 colloquium,” said Colloquium Director and Assistant Professor Emily Spiegel. “From papers focusing on COVID-19, to climate justice, to the Green New Deal, we tested and refined the ideas that will no doubt shape environmental law scholarship in the coming year.”
The papers that colloquium attendees develop will be eligible for publication in the Vermont Journal of Environmental Law, available online at vjel.vermontlaw.edu. The journal provides an accessible forum to discuss contemporary environmental legal issues.
