Vermont Law School’s Environmental Law Center held the premier biennial Emerging Environmental Law Curriculum Conference on June 20 and 21. The conference attracted over 50 environmental law professors from law schools across the United States, including Harvard University, Vanderbilt, UCLA Law, Tulane Law School, and many others.

“This is the first conference of its kind for environmental law professors,” explains Jennifer Rushlow, Director of the Environmental Law Center at Vermont Law School. “As law and politics evolve and environment and society change in uncertain ways, Vermont Law School continues to bring legal experts together to ask questions on improving legal academia. We are committed to hosting this event every two years.”

Featured speakers, including Bill McKibben of 350.org and Richard Lazarus of Harvard University, provided cutting edge information on environmental law and trends in building advanced curriculum on the subject.
