About This Class

The International Climate Law course is a unique service-based learning course. Selected students study the international climate change negotiations and policy through both theory and first-hand observation.

Students must be enrolled in the juris doctor and/or masters programs. The method of evaluation is based on writing projects and class participation. Due to limited seats, students must apply for the class.

To apply (1) register (waitlisted), and (2) submit an application package to Professor Sarah Reiter, sreiter@vermontlaw.edu by May 1, 2020. The application package should be one pdf document including: (1) a statement explaining interest in and qualifications for the course, (2) writing sample, (3) resume, (4) transcript, and (5) a VLS reference. The instructor will then select students, making final decisions based on relevant experience and demonstrated interest in the course.
