About this Course

Practicum, Small Business Law Clinic. Prerequisite or co-requisite: BUS6218. Enrollment by application. In this course, students will work with practicing attorneys to provide legal and strategic advice to entrepreneurs and small businesses.  They will provide legal education for small business owners and create innovative solutions for meeting small business legal needs.  Students who apply early may seek to complete a field placement working with a practicing attorney serving business clients.  Students may sign up for this course for 2, 4, 6, or 12 credits with the required time spent in a field placement adjusted according to the number of credits taken.  Introduction to Start-up Law (BUS6218) is a prerequisite or corequisite for this course.  Waiver of the co-/prerequisite may be requested from the Clinic Director.
