Former Vermont Gov. Jim Douglas and John Sununu, former New Hampshire governor and White House chief of staff, will discuss their recent books, time in office, and current political climate during "Governors Night Out" from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 2, in the Chase Community Center at Vermont Law School. The event is free and open to the public and press.
Douglas will discuss his autobiography, "The Vermont Way: A Republican Governor Leads America's Most Liberal State" (Common Ground Communications, 2014). Sununu will present "The Quiet Man: The Indispensable Presidency of George H. W. Bush" (Harper Collins, 2015). Books will be available for purchase, and the authors will autograph copies.

"We hope the greater South Royalton community will join us for what is sure to be an enlightening evening as they speak about their experiences in New England politics as well as contemporary political issues."
Douglas was elected the 80th governor of Vermont in 2002 and was reelected three times with a majority of the vote. He left office in January 2011. Sununu served as the 75th governor of New Hampshire, 1983-89, and later as White House chief of staff under President George H. W. Bush.
